Lockdown Day 16

Too tired to write.

Have clearly overdone doing nothing.

Strong start to the day with, as yesterday, hill walk, PE and bike ride. Obviously I have abused my going out privileges but did so in accordance with full social distancing policy. The jolly bicycle ride was on the blue list but Rock unfortunately has received an official government ban from outside living, due to inability to breathe normally even on a good day,

Rock has been told by NHS that he should self isolate for 3 months. That is 12 weeks. 90 whole days …. I love Rock but I fear that one of us might meet an unfortunate unvirus related demise by end of month 2. The helpful letter stated that he must “ NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE” but, not to worry. To ease any anxiety and “help him through this tricky time” he “can open a window” or, on a more practical level, maybe just call the Samaritans. There was no such advise for me. My plight was largely ignored.

I then, as if the day were not busy enough already, I went out.

In fact I went “out out”…am talking handbag, motorcar, the works. I needed to get to the supermarket.

Literally, this felt like major event. Should perhaps have dressed up. As it was, I visited 4 major supermarkets but the queue to gain entry to any of them was prohibitively lengthy and I just could not do it.

Life’s too short...sadly, really short for some at this present time.

Dinner was a vegetable broth.

I saw a lot of face masks today … was like a weird independent short film made by an Japanese art student. Saw one chap with an actual gas mask on; just nonchalantly strolling along with a newspaper tucked under his arm and a bag of Lemon Sherbets. Some people, I noted, were sporting medical grade masks which is peculiar as there is a national shortage rendering our poor hospital staff bare faced and without adequate protection.

May go back out and do a drive by with Manchild. I will be get-away driver and he can whip them off their faces as we cruise by.

We could be the new Marvel hero’s. Mask Crusaders 😂

Where’s your husband? Out in the garden.. Oh I just looked, I didn’t see him. Yeah.. you’ll need to dig a little.
